You are reading the homepage of the Szeged Transport Ltd. Airport Management Branch. The aim of the homepage is to make you acquainted with the history, main parameters and available services of the Szeged Airport.

Considering its legal predecessors, our company, the Szeged Transport Ltd., commonly known as SZKT dates back to 123 years of history, and since 2006, it has managed the Szeged Airport as well.

Our airport is located close to the city’s western borders, only a few kilometres from the city centre, alongside of the No.: 55 main road (Baja Road).

Our AFIS (Automatic Flight Information Service) service ensures that for the use of the airport you can have access to meteorological data updated at intervals of one minute as well as proper information for landing and taking off.

In order to land and take off safely you can use the 1185 x 30 m sized asphalt and 1170 x 50 m and 610 x 50 m sized grassy runways.

The asphalt runway suitable for night flights is equipped with light technique system that can also be used by our guests if needed.

In the interest of better accessibility, our airport has been supplied with radio navigation instruments (NDB/DME) that incomers by plane can use at the frequency detailed below:
